My participants cannot hear me
If your participants cannot hear you, there are a few possible reasons that could be caused by your connection or theirs:
- Your microphone may be muted. Check your Microphone icon and if muted, click the icon again to unmute.
- The wrong microphone device is selected. Check your Microphone settings and confirm the correct device is selected. During a meeting, go to Settings > Media > Microphone. Change your microphone device and click Save media settings.
- Did you allow your microphone and camera when prompted by the browser? Sometimes we miss this message when first joining a meeting. Your browser needs to know that you give ProVideoMeeting permission to use your microphone.
- Check your participant's speaker volume. Ask your participants to check their Volume level on their headset/speakers.
- Your participant may have selected the wrong speaker device. Ask your participant to check their Speaker settings and confirm the correct device is selected. During a meeting, ask them to go to Settings > Media > Speakers. Select the correct speaker device and click Save media settings.
