Is ProVideoMeeting secure?
Yes. Your meetings are secure and private, using the latest security methods to protect your data at rest and while in transit.
Infrastructure
ProVideoMeeting uses HTTPS, an extension of the Hypertext
Transfer Protocol, widely used for secure communication over the Internet. In
HTTPS, the communication protocol is encrypted use Transport Layer Security, or
TLS, formerly known as Secure Sockets Layer, or SSL. The principle motivations
for HTTPS are authentication of the accessed website, and protection of the
privacy and integrity of the exchanged data while in transit. It protects
against man-in-the-middle attacks, and the bidirectional encryption of
communications between a client and server protects the communications against
eavesdropping and tampering.
Our internal services such as backend coding, session
recordings, and video transmission, are all located in isolated containers. Container
security allows for the protection through isolation of everything from the
applications within the containers to the infrastructure they rely on.
Servers
ProVideoMeeting uses reliable, Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud
security for hosting our platform. AWS Elastic Cloud 2 (EC2) offers a data
center and network architecture built to meet the requirements of the most
security-sensitive organizations. AWS protects the infrastructure that runs AWS
services in the AWS Cloud. AWS also provides services our developers can use
securely. Third-party auditors regularly test and verify the effectiveness of
Amazon’s security as part of the AWS Compliance Program.
In addition, ProVideoMeeting takes advantage of Amazon
Simple Storage (S3) for storing data using industry-leading scalability,
availability, performance, and security. Customers of all sizes and industries
use it for secure storage and durable protection of any amount of data.
